Concerts

Choir to choir concerts
Several concerts dedicated to registered groups are scheduled during the festival. Every participant group can perform during the Choir to choir concerts.
The concerts are divided into several days and in different locations and provide for each choir the presentation of one or two pieces taken from their own repertoire (maximum duration 5 minutes). The piece must be indicated at the time of registration. In the concerts, pre-recorded musical accompaniment is not allowed and we kindly invite you to choose a repertoire from your own country. The organisation will announce near the festival the day and the order of performance.

Gran Concerto di Primavera
On Saturday afternoon all the singers participate in the Gran Concerto di Primaverat to perform the compositions learned during the workshops.

A choral surprise...
Friday, April 19 (high school and youth choirs) is scheduled for a special evening. Very soon all the details!

Accommodation

Participants will be accommodated in Montecatini Terme, in 3-stars hotels (rooms with 2, 3 or 4 beds, private bathroom). Availability for single rooms (only on request) is limited and entails an additional charge of € 25 per night per person.

The tourist tax, to be paid directly to the hotel hosting the group, is not included in the participation fee (here are the rates for the City of Montecatini). As of September 2023, the tourist tax is € 1.00/person for 3*** hotels and € 1.40/person for 4**** hotels.

For any special needs of the group, related to the festival schedule, the organisation of the festival can help you by formulating a personalised stay programme in Montecatini Terme (with an early arrival or late departure). In this case, we kindly ask you to contact the festival office (festivaldiprimavera@feniarco.it)

Arrivals, transports and parking

All transportation costs to reach or leave Montecatini Terme are at charge of every participating group, such as the bus entrance tax and the bus parking payments (you can find the fees on www.montecatiniparcheggi.it).
IMPORTANT! Once you arrive in Montecatini Terme, you can reach all the festival venues comfortably on foot so there is no need to have the bus available during your stay.

BY PLANE
Pisa handles the majority of both Italian and European scheduled flights, so it may be easier to find flights to Pisa. Pisa Airport has direct access to the Florence-Pisa A11 freeway (Pisa Centro-Aeroporto exit), the A12 Genoa-Rosignano freeway (Pisa Centro exit), the A11 Florence-Pisa Nord freeway (via the Pisa Nord interchange with the A12), and the SS1 Aurelia highway. Pisa Airport is directly connected to Pisa Centrale Station, thanks to train connections, operating every 30 minutes. From Pisa Centrale, thanks to numerous connections, it is possible to reach Montecatini Centro.

The Florence airport also has direct access to the Florence-Pisa A11 highway and the A1 "Autostrada del Sole" highway. The airport is located northwest of Florence; cabs and a shuttle bus connect the airport with the historic city center and the Santa Maria Novella central train station. Several trains are available from here to the Montecatini Centro train station.

BY BUS/CAR
From the A11 "Firenze - Mare" highway, exit at Montecatini Terme. The center of Montecatini Terme is about 2 km from the exit.

BY TRAIN
To make travel arrangements, you can consult the site www.trenitalia.it
ATTENZIONE: we inform you that Montecatini Terme has two train stops: Montecatini Terme-Monsummano and Montecatini Centro. If you are arriving by train, in order to walk to your hotel, we recommend that you get off at the Montecatini Centro stop (before arriving, however, consult a map to get a clear idea of where your hotel is located). The cost of the ticket is the same for both stations.
