Fosco Corti International Competition for conductors 2020 [POSTPONED]

The city of Turin will host the first edition of this important and prestigious competition for choir conductors addressed to participants from all over the world. The competition is a project by Conservatorio G. Verdi of Tourin, Feniarco and Associazione Cori Piemontesi in partnership with  European Choral Association-Europa Cantat

IMPORTANT: due to the protracted health emergency, the first edition of the Fosco Corti International Competition for conductors has been postponed to a date to be set. 

Where?

Torino, Auditorium of the G. Verdi Conservatory

Who?

The competition is open to all the choir conductors born after 1st November 1980: they also must be 18 years old on the competition date. 

When?

Thursday 29th October
Preliminary round (in 2 stages): 17 participants will be admitted plus the winner of the 5th national competition for conductors "Le mani in suono" held in February 2020. 

Friday 30th October
Semi-final rounds (in 2 stages): a maximum of 10 conductors will be admitted.

Saturday 31st October
Final rounds (in 2 stages: rehearsl and performance): a maximum of 5 conductors will be admitted.

Jury

The international jury is made up of 5 artistic personalities

Prizes

First prize: € 2.000
Second prize: € 1.500
Third prize: € 1.000

And other special prizes.

Entries should be sent by 31st May, 2020 at latest.
