12th European Academy for choral conductors

The Academy is a biannual professional masterclass opened to participants from all over Europe, organised by Feniarco in partnership with European Choral Association and in collaboration with Arcom and Coro Polifonico Malatestiano.

The Academy 

  • The European Academy is a professional masterclass addressed to experienced choir conductors. It is possible to register as active participant or as auditor
  • Participants will be maximum 15 active conductors who will work for the first three days of the Academy. From Thursday 31 August, 8 advanced level pupils, selected by the lecturer, will perfect themselves for the final concert. The other conductors will attend the lessons as auditors
  • A preliminary meeting to introduce the academy and the teacher is scheduled for the late afternoon of Sunday, August 27
  • Classes will start on Monday, August 28, and end on Saturday, September 2 (approximately 6 hours daily)
  • The lessons will be held in the city of Fano, at the former Church of St. Archangel (M. Lanci Street, corner of Corso G. Matteotti)
  • At the end of the week, on Saturday September the 2nd, there will be a concert conducted by the best participants of the masterclass
  • The lecturer for the Academy 2023 is Brady Allred (USA)
  • The participants will work with a high level pilot-choir during the whole Academy
  • The working language will be english

Set up in the frame of the prestigious Incontro Internazionale Polifonico Città di Fano, that reaches its 50th edition, in the special year of its 50th anniversary celebrations, offering interesting concert programming during the week with outstanding choirs.
