Alma Dantis
National competition of choral composing 2021

a project by Feniarco with the patronage of SIAE, Società Italiana di Musica Contemporanea, CIDIM, Società Dantesca Italiana

For the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) Feniarco (Italian National Federation of Regional Choral Associations) have organized the National competition of choral composing "Alma Dantis" with the intent to enhance and promote choral music through the creation, publication, dissemination and performance of new compositions. The competition is sponsored by SIAE (Società Italiana Autori Editori), SIMC (Società Italiana di Musica Contemporanea), CIDIM (Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica), Società Dantesca Italiana and enjoys the support of the Ministry of Culture.

The scores submitted wew judged by an international jury of 5 high professional composers: James MacMillan (Scotland), Giacomo Manzoni, Giovanni Bonato, Roberto Gabbiani, Sandro Cappelletto.
